January 5, 2012Making of: Cinema/Bar
January 1, 2012This slideshow requires JavaScript.
While creating the Cinema, my main objective was to create a sleek, stylish building that was built to represent three words. modern, simple and works.
from this i think the cinema came out nicely. the indoors certainly came out great but out side i think i could have done a better job in making it look better but i didn’t see any point because it really wouldn’t be looked at since people would watch the screen.
using a lot of simple techiques i managed to create a realistic still scene. my main problem was lightning but i managed to succeed by using a direct light to fill the building with natural light. Then using an area light to fill the inside with photons.
tried using fur to make the grass, it came out quite nice =]
Making of: The Snake
December 26, 2011This slideshow requires JavaScript.
creating the snake was a lot more difficult than i thought. although the modelling wasn’t that difficult, it was hard to characterise the snake into a friendly creature. i think i did a good enough job though.
uv maps was my first attempt, especially using maya. the body didn’t work out quite what i wanted but the rest did it justice =]
Seating matters poster!
December 2, 2011my poster for seating matters!!
research:
snakes greek mythology
Asclepius, the son of Apollo and Koronis, learned the secrets of keeping death at bay after observing one serpent bringing another (which Asclepius himself had fatally wounded) healing herbs. To prevent the entire human race from becoming immortal under Asclepius’s care, Zeus killed him with a bolt of lightning. Asclepius’ death at the hands of Zeus illustrates man’s inability to challenge the natural order that separates mortal men from the gods. In honor of Asclepius, snakes were often used in healing rituals
snakes have also been widely revered, such as in ancient Greece, where the serpent was seen as a healer, and Asclepius carried two intertwined on his wand, a symbol seen today on many ambulances.
Plane tutorials!

Currently i have been focusing on learning new things in maya like playing with nurbs and other modifiers that i have never touched before! i felt i should really explore before i improve my modelling because its better to know its all before i make it all =].
sooo i’m making a plane xD
current work so far =]

F**k Super Mario, Hello Super Lego!
May 3, 2011This slideshow requires JavaScript.
This is practically a “scene” from the mini game replica of super mario with my lego man and its comming along pretty damn nice. that ink and paint is actually rocking the environment and my lego man is ready to roll
.
Gotta decide on these materials, its either A or B with the lego man ingame.
I myself like the more bright legoman as it seems to fit more appropriately or something.. and just looks more real in my opinion.
any comments??

LEGO MAN IN THE HOUSE
May 3, 2011im totally happy with the way my lego man came out, BRAZIL THANK YOU!.
it almost looks real so i’ve decided to go with real looking textures for the maps while paint for the games.
While the model is looking nice and dandy, i’m having such a hard time trying to do uv wrapping so i might have to resort to just photoshopping faces on to show customization..
meh lego ftw.
